The Exchange is the perfect venue at which to celebrate every life occasion! Our owner, Emma Cheek, has planned hundreds of events—many of those right here at The Exchange—and will work with you to create the event of your dreams. The floor plan, tables, chairs, linens, and amenities can be tailored to your desires.

A historic downtown venue

The Exchange is the perfect event venue to celebrate every life occasion! Each event at The Exchange has a custom layout and design created just for you. Our event planning specialist will help you with floor plans, recommend vendors, and offer advice on our space.

The Exchange provides round and rectangular tables, classic white chairs, and white linens for every event.

Included with your rental

Thoughtful details, ready for your celebration

Every rental includes tables, seating, event amenities, and spaces that help make your day comfortable and convenient.

Tables & seating

  • Round tables: Up to 18 six-foot round tables are available, seating approximately 8–10 guests each. The number provided is based on your guest count.
  • Rectangular tables: Four six-foot and two eight-foot tables are available, each with white floor-length table skirts.
  • Cocktail tables: Two three-foot round tables are included with white lace floor-length table skirts.
  • Chairs: White chairs and a black couch are included.
  • Table linens: White lap-length tablecloths are provided for all tables.

Comfort & convenience

  • Smart TV: A smart TV is available for PowerPoint presentations, photo slideshows, videos, and other event displays.
  • Restrooms: Separate men’s and women’s restrooms are available, with three stalls each. Soap, toilet paper, and paper towels are included.
  • Staging kitchen: The staging kitchen includes a sink, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and counter space for event preparation and serving—not full meal preparation.
  • Mobile bar: The mobile bar can be positioned anywhere within the venue to suit your event layout.
  • Outdoor courtyard: The outdoor courtyard provides a lovely setting for intimate ceremonies, tea parties, baptisms, and photography for any occasion.

Rooted in Asheboro

Located in historic downtown Asheboro, the building which now houses The Exchange was originally home to one of Asheboro’s first United States Post Offices. Following a few other business ventures in the building, The Exchange opened in 2002, offering 3,400 square feet of restored hardwood floors, vintage brick walls, and a hedged courtyard adjacent to Bicentennial Park.

Hosted alcohol service

A $500 alcohol service fee applies when alcohol is served at your event. Please ask us about the requirements for your celebration.

Security deposit $300

A $300 deposit is required to reserve your date and is non-refundable if you cancel. The remaining balance is due six weeks before the event, and all payments are non-refundable once it is paid.
